Stream Fever Dream: https://ffm.to/feverdreamradioedit The Heart Collectors’ symphonic folk track Fever Dream (Radio Edit) echos the process of lead singer Kymrie
during a life changing ordeal after the band’s 2019 international tour. Preparing to leave the USA to return home to Australia, Kymrie was struck down in the outbreak strand of measles rampant in New York City at the time. This lead to a near death experience – that shifted consciousness, and left her in a convalescent state for the next 18 months.
The fever dream and its impact on her brain was severely consequential. After a delay of 2 months to recover enough for travel – Kymrie came home and began the slow healing process through intimate moments at the piano. Unbeknownst at the time, these sounds found in her meditative state would be the foundations of the track Fever Dream. The simplicity at the beginning represents the vulnerability of her bodily condition – a resting place where she found solace and allowed the expression of musicality to flow through the circuitry of a body in recovery.
